Conglomerate ownership is when a big companies own a range of smaller companies. This links to Doctor Strange as it was sold to marvel by Disney.

The age rating for Doctor Strange is 12A. This was given because they didn't want to loose a big chunk of audience that could earn them a lot of money.

Doctor Strange was promoted to the audience by merchandising opportunities, better potential box office, 47% of cinema audiences were aged 7-24 in the UK. Word of mouth and peer influence happened a lot.

One aspects that tell you its a big-budget blockbuster movie is that throughout the trailer you would be able to witness the famous star Benedict cumberbatch who is playing the main character, Doctor Strange. As well as this, synergy is uses as Doctor Strange appears in multiple Marvel movies and can be recognised by the audience intently. A large budget of $700 million altogether at the box office show that the $165 million used to make the movie was worth it and was able to bring in a large audience ranging from the age of 12. The popularity of this movie was thanks to the IMAX which shows it took a ton of money to create the movie as it takes a lot of money to buy the unique camera that uses special effects showing how great the quality becomes.

The production budget for Doctor Strange was $165 million and it made a total of $700 million at the box office.

8) Would you consider Doctor Strange a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?

I would consider Doctor Strange as a Successful block buster movie because it made $700 million at the box office. However, it was not as successful as the other marvel movies.
